Discovery Group Trip to Ballarat – March 2018
The Discovery Group enjoyed three full days of sightseeing when they travelled to Ballarat earlier this year. Among the highlights was the visit to the MADE (Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka), where they saw the original Eureka flag, and heard a very informative talk by the guide on the history of Eureka. And then later, they saw the light-and-sound show at Sovereign Hill, re-enacting that historical story. The visit to the Botanical Gardens was lovely, seeing the begonias just after the annual flower festival. They also spent a great day in Daylesford, visiting the Chocolate Mill and the Convent Gallery. It was a great four days spent together.
