Club Outings and Day Bus Trips

Date of next outing to be advised

Over 40 members and partners thoroughly enjoyed the Club’s first bus trip for 2019.

We visited the historic mansion Noorilim, near Nagambie, and admired the magnificent collection of art on display, including works by Sidney Nolan, Clifton Pugh, Brett Whiteley, and Frederick McCubbin.

We also wandered around the beautiful gardens in the sunshine, and then went to lunch at the Nagambie Rowing Club.

Thanks to Alan Holmes for organising another great Club Outing.

Members, partners, friends, and guests have the opportunity to enjoy a number of one-day and half-day outings during the year.

Most – the whole-day outings – are bus trips, while for local outings, members usually drive to the venue or take public transport.

In recent years, members, partners and friends have travelled to Maryborough, the Hume & Hovell Cricket Ground at Strath Creek, HMAS Cerberus, Phillip Island, Marysville and Kinglake, Walhalla, Mount Macedon, Beleura at Mornington, Daylesford, Lorne, Werribee Park, Coombe Cottage, Queenscliff and Nagambie.

In addition to the bus and train trips, members, partners and friends enjoy “local” outings, e.g, tours of the Fox Classic Car Collection, Etihad Stadium, the MCG and National Sports Museum, Melbourne Park , Victoria Barracks, the  Jewish Museum and Synagogue, as well as mid-year and end-of-year luncheons, and a start-of-year barbecue.
