Our first subsidised Outing for 2019 is a day tour to the Noorilim Estate. The Italianate Mansion was commissioned in 1879 and was constructed in the style of The Victorian Houses of Parliament and Werribee Park by the Architect James Gail.
Upon arrival, we will have a tour of the gardens and mansion, which features one of the best private art collections in the country
The surrounds of the Estate are enhanced by 75 acres of managed vineyards with many classic varieties of wine of exceptional quality owing to its location on the eastern bank of the Goulburn River.
The homestead was built for William Irving Winter, MLC from 1884-1901 and is surrounded by 12 acres of landscaped botanical gardens that are listed in the 90 historic gardens by the State Government.
Morning tea will be provided en route and a two-course lunch will be served at the Nagambie Entertainment Centre.
All members , wives, partners and friends are welcome with a maximum of 40 passengers. Cost will be $25.00, with the balance being funded by our Council/Rotary Grant.
